About me and my practice

I am an experienced Therapist, a qualified Counsellor, registered with The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I believe I offer a therapeutic relationship with my clients which is professional yet nurturing, a safe space for you to overcome whatever issue you want to resolve.
Professional standards alongside a warm and honest therapeutic relationship create a successful environment for change.
We work together to discover what thoughts/beliefs or behaviours may be holding you back and most importantly how to change them so that you feel happier and healthier.

Solution Focused Counselling and Hypnotherapy are positive talking therapies that specifically works with your ideas about where you want to be and what you want to achieve. I am a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy and The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.
I regularly update my knowledge of therapeutic practice and so strive to offer you the best service possible. Helping you to achieve your desired results in a relatively short time frame.

I understand it can feel rather daunting reaching out for help, perhaps you have mixed emotions about it, this is absolutely normal and I hope to put you at your ease as quickly as possible.
Therapy can be helpful for a wide range of issues, we work together at your pace for as many sessions as you need.
Life can feel demanding and we can sometimes feel as though we are not coping as well as we would like.
You may be experiencing Stress if you feel Confused, overwhelmed, anxious, depressed or angry, overthinking/worrying are common and can be a drain on our energy, leaving us feeling exhausted.
Stress can effect us physically and emotionally, sleep can be one of the first signs that you are suffering with stress and anxiety.
This can be your opportunity to talk about what is troubling you, explore your thoughts and feelings and most importantly, take action, maybe gaining new strategies to cope, increasing confidence or changing perspective could be of help.

Training: Diploma Counselling - 1996

Diploma: ASFSH - Diploma Solution Focused Hypnotherapy - 2016

Diploma Integrative Supervision Level 7.

Additional Information

I work from my own Private Practice in Hutton, Weston-super-Mare. We have a spacious, comfortable and accessible therapy room, with beautiful views over the countryside. There are many proven therapeutic benefits from spending time in Nature and so I hope that you will enjoy the journey to and from your sessions nearly as much as the sessions themselves
I offer a flexible support service to help you as an individual, with this in mind I am available for Hypnotherapy & Counselling sessions during extended hours, early mornings, evenings and weekends. I also offer extended sessions if you feel that you need more than the traditional Hour, this will be negotiated during the Initial Consultation.
